Looking for a product to produce and broadcast real-time service information to customers and to internal and external partners across many types of media, SNCF selected Qommute in July 2018. After a year of deployment, the Qommute product centralising service information has been live since July 2019, with the various media being integrated step by step.
Improving passenger information is a major challenge for SNCF. The goal set by the customer was to produce and broadcast passenger information that is more reliable, consistent across every communication channel and true to the operational situation, especially during disruptions.
SNCF’s objectives
Through the deployment of the Qommute solution, SNCF set out to:
- Achieve a real leap in “storytelling” performance, so that passenger information is as contextualised and relevant as possible throughout the journey, especially during disruptions
- Keep control of the “story” being told, end to end and across all media
- Produce and supervise clear, relevant and reliable information in each medium, in a differentiated yet consistent way
- Handle new types of real-time passenger information: by service, by line…
- Handle every production case (before, during and after the train’s departure): engineering works, weather events, a train affected by several incidents, highlighting changes (extended journeys, replacement services…)
- Optimise the processes for managing service messages (responsiveness and standardisation through scenarios, timelines…)
